RelicPath Privacy Policy

Effective Date: May 22, 2026

Overview

RelicPath is a metal detecting companion app that allows users to track detecting trips, log finds, save GPS routes, attach photo references, review hunt history, export records, and optionally use account and cloud backup features.

This Privacy Policy explains what information RelicPath may store, how that information is used, and how users can request deletion of cloud-stored account data.

Information RelicPath May Store Locally

RelicPath may store the following information locally on your device:

Location Data

RelicPath uses location data to track detecting trips, calculate distance, save GPS routes, and attach find locations to logged finds. Location data can reveal private property, sensitive sites, or productive detecting areas. Users should be careful when sharing screenshots, exports, maps, or cloud-backed data.

Location tracking is intended for active detecting trip features and user-created records. RelicPath does not sell location data.

Photos and Photo References

RelicPath may allow users to select photos for finds or profile images. The app stores a reference to the selected photo so it can display the image in the app. RelicPath does not claim ownership of user photos.

Users should only add photos they own, have permission to use, or are legally allowed to store.

Account and Cloud Backup Data

RelicPath may use Supabase for account sign-in and optional cloud backup features. When cloud backup is used, RelicPath may upload selected app data to Supabase, including:

Cloud backup and restore are intended to help users preserve and restore their RelicPath records. Restore may replace local app data on a device with the cloud copy for the signed-in account.

Subscriptions and Payments

RelicPath Pro subscriptions are handled through Google Play Billing. RelicPath does not directly collect or store payment card information. Google Play may process subscription payments, renewals, cancellations, and purchase history according to Google Play policies.

How Information Is Used

RelicPath uses stored information to provide app features, including:

Information Sharing

RelicPath does not sell user personal information. User data may be processed by services used to operate the app, such as Supabase for account/cloud backup features and Google Play for subscriptions.

Users control what they choose to enter, export, back up, or share outside the app.

Always Sensitive Information

Certain information should be treated as sensitive by users, including:

Users should avoid sharing this information publicly unless they are certain it is safe and appropriate to do so.

Data Deletion

Users can request deletion of their RelicPath account and associated cloud-stored data by visiting the Account and Data Deletion page:

Account and Data Deletion

Local data stored only on a user’s device must be deleted from the app or by clearing app storage on that device. RelicPath cannot delete local-only data from devices it cannot access.

Children

RelicPath is intended for general metal detecting hobby use and is not specifically directed to children. Users should follow all applicable laws, app store requirements, and safety rules when using the app.

Changes to This Policy

This Privacy Policy may be updated as RelicPath features change. The effective date at the top of this page will be updated when changes are made.
